1. Who we are
Golf Royal Hotel Tunis, 51-53 Rue Radhia Haddad, Les Berges du Lac 1053, Tunis, Tunisia, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
2. What we collect
We collect only what we need to take a booking and host you well:
- Identity and contact details — name, email address, telephone number, country and, at check-in, identification as required by Tunisian law.
- Reservation details — dates, room type, rate, add-ons, and any preferences or requests you tell us about.
- Payment data — handled by our payment provider. We store a token and the last four digits, never the full card number.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and pages viewed, where you have accepted analytics cookies.
3. Why we use it
To confirm and deliver your reservation, to meet the legal obligations placed on hotels in Tunisia, to take payment and prevent fraud, to answer your enquiries, and — only with your consent — to send you offers.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Who we share it with
Payment processors, our property management and booking systems, and the Tunisian authorities where the law requires it. Every processor acts on our written instruction and may not use your data for their own purposes.
5. How long we keep it
Reservation records are kept for ten years to meet accounting and tax obligations. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. Analytics data is retained for fourteen months.
6. Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time.
Write to privacy@golfroyalhotel.com. We respond within thirty days. You may also complain to the Instance Nationale de Protection des Données Personnelles (INPDP).
7. Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies keep the booking flow working and cannot be switched off. Analytics and preference cookies are set only after you accept them, and your choice can be changed at any time.
8. Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be notified to you directly where we hold your contact details.
